You will be assigned to work in the Gift Shop and/or in Food Concessions depending on our business needs. In the Gift Shop, you will be selling zoo snacks and zoo gift products to the guests. Responsible for providing courteous guest service, consistent with our EXTRAordinary standards and efficiently & effectively helping our guests in a friendly & helpful way. Ensure an inviting environment for the customers by maintaining a neat and clean area. Must be outgoing and personable to create a fun and inviting environment for all guests. Must be comfortable working with American currency and interacting with guests. You will be standing for most of your shift. Clean and stock area as needed. Other tasks as directed by the retail manager. In Food Concessions, you will need advanced English to read instructions and recipes. You will assist customers with their orders; assist the cook with preparing food items for cooking; stock food items as needed; clean and maintain the kitchen and food prep equipment; maintain proper sanitation controls of products. Other tasks as directed by the concession manager include assisting the catering department with zoo-related events. You must be able to stand for your entire shift and be able to lift 40- 50lbs (18-23kg). You will be cross-trained at the other locations as well. The meal discount includes $4.00 per day of work. You may be asked to work at Waikiki Beachside Bistro as well, depending on our business needs. You may not work the same shifts as your friends. Nor will you have the same days off as your friends. You will be expected to work all weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and all holidays.

Responsible for providing customers with the help/advice/equipment necessary for a pleasant experience in the appropriate field. To assist in all processes at work; to welcome and give advice in the choice of articles; to arrange and organize the goods/equipment on shelves and in stock; manage payments; to receive deliveries from suppliers and to keep the workplace clean.
