Orientation/Start Dates is June 3 or June 10 Bellperson will load and unload luggage carts, escort guests to rooms, and familiarize them with hotel services and amenities (hours of outlets, pool, exercise room, etc.). Inspect guest room to ensure it is in order and that supplies are adequate, explain features of the room including operation of radio, television, telephone, in-room movie system, etc., check/store luggage for arrivals and departures with luggage tags, deliver messages to meeting rooms, deliver flowers, laundry, and packages to guest rooms. Assist with room changes, maintain a current listing of local and area attractions, special events, and activities, and maintain a list of local transportation guides, churches, sports arenas, etc. Assist Houseperson with guest requests, ensure lobby reader board is correct, provide information, maps, and directions as required, answer console to assist guest service agents, show guest rooms and suites as needed, and emphasize the hotel’s amenities. You will be standing for most of your shift. The work schedule can change. Your employer will provide meals during your work shift ONLY. Participants are responsible for meals outside of regularly scheduled shifts. You can not request certain shifts. Your schedule can vary. This makes it very difficult for 2nd jobs. Your employer expects the best customer service from its employees at all times. you may be cross-trained to work in other positions. It is up to your employer's business needs if this will happen.
