Adventureland ( website)

As a Host you will: be greeting customers as they arrive and guide them to their table. Hosts will also give the guests menus and answer any questions they may have. You will be answering phones, both to answer questions about the restaurant as well as take orders. You will create a waitlist for seating, and give guests an approximate time of seating. During down time as a host, you will: clean high chairs and menus. You will sweep the hallway, clean booths, fold towels, rolling clean silverware, and check to ensure bathrooms are clean. As a busser: You will walk throughout the restaurant, as guests leave clear tables of dirty dishware, place in a tub and take to dish room. You will also reset the tables for the next guests to sit at the table. Most positions require little or no experience. All positions involve being on your feet and remaining active while interacting with our guests. Positions are indoors, semi-outdoors or completely outdoors. Most indoor positions are not air-conditioned. You must be able to tolerate the heat and humidity of the Iowa summer. No matter what the weather conditions, all positions are vital to developing the fun culture our guests have come to expect here when visiting Adventureland Park.

HOST / BUSSER

An employee may perform both positions - Host: Greet and seat guests in a courteous and proficient manner. Busser: Clear and clean tables and dining areas with a courteous and proficient manner.
