Perform routine tasks of cleaning and servicing guests’ accommodations such as rooms, suites, baths, lanais, breakfast bars, etc. according to to resort standards and procedures. Restock and refresh guest rooms with linen and supplies. Report necessary maintenance and repair work needed in guest rooms. Report any unauthorized or suspicious person on the guest room floors to security. Perform tasks following safety procedures and policies. Greet all guests and lend assistance if needed. Properly handle lost and found items. Clean, organize, and stock housekeeping carts. Responsible for the control of hotel-issued keys at all times. Complete work assignments in a timely manner. May assist with turndown service. Assist in stocking supply closet and reports any shortages. Assist in other positions in the department. Assist in moving furniture. Deliver items requested by guests to the rooms. Assist guests by giving directions or information regarding the resort and the Big Island. Perform other related duties as assigned or required. Able to clean rooms according to standards and in the allotted time. Able to push/pull a fully supplied housekeeping cart, weighing over 50 lbs (22.6 kg). Able to kneel, bend, stoop, and reach above/at/below shoulder level to clean. Must be able to lift and carry vacuum cleaners, cleaning equipment/supplies, linen, etc. weighing up to 20 lbs (9 kg). Able to stand and walk during the whole shift. Flexible to help in other positions as requested. Additional tasks as requested by management. You will be working weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), all holidays, and evening shifts. You may not work the same shifts as your friends. Nor will you have the same days off as your friends. The employer is offering free meals on days working and not working. On your days off if you are hanging out around the hotel you must dress in business casual attire (no beach wear, shorts, pants with holes, short shirts showing skin, etc). Slacks and nice shirts are required. No piercings or tattoos showing.will be responsible for helping prepare food items on a timely basis; cooking and preparing food items according to recipes and quality standards; preparing items for cooking; stocking food items as needed; cleaning and maintaining kitchen and food prep equipment; maintaining proper sanitation controls of products; prepare sauces, vegetables, meat, fish and poultry items properly. You must be able to stand for your entire shift and be able to lift up to 50lb/35kg. Drug test is required prior to starting. Requires attention to detail, punctuality, and a great service attitude & team spirit. May be required to work overtime. Housekeepers handle light cleaning needed for the upkeep of homes as well as commercial buildings, such as offices, hotels, and hospitals. Typically they'll replace bedding, clean rooms, halls and bathrooms, vacuum, sweep, mop, replace toiletries and make beds.
