As a lifeguard you will have to ensure a safe and healthy environment for the swimmers. In addition, the lifeguard must check and maintain specific chemical levels in the pool. Additional required duties are: Cleaning the pool and surrounding area, cleaning the restrooms, trash removal and enforcing gate control at the facility. SEE ATTACHED. After you pass lifeguard training, you will be assigned to a specific location.

LIFEGUARD

A lifeguard is responsible for the general supervision and safety of patrons of an aquatic facility by preventing and responding to emergencies. Lifeguards are superior swimmers who are able to give advice on water safety to patrons, conduct swift water rescues and control unruly behavior if necessary.
