Timely opening of the facility and punctual arrival for shifts. Adherence to the proper uniform code while on duty. Enforcement of all facility Pool Rules and Pool Pass policy. Appropriate positioning in the designated Lifeguard chair for effective patron surveillance, whether in a single-guard or multi-guard pool setting. Keeping safety equipment like first aid kits and CPR barriers within easy reach. Rapid and suitable response to emergency situations to ensure patron safety. Regular monitoring and maintenance of pool water chemical levels (Chlorine, pH, etc.). Ensuring the proper functioning of the filter system and communicating any issues to the supervisor. Maintenance of facility cleanliness as per AquaSafe guidelines. Possession of original Lifeguard Training, First Aid, CPR, and Pool Operator Certifications while on duty. Active participation in organized in-service trainings and demonstrating required knowledge. Completion of all online quizzes, with the average score contributing to end-of-season bonus calculations.

LIFEGUARD

A lifeguard is responsible for the general supervision and safety of patrons of an aquatic facility by preventing and responding to emergencies. Lifeguards are superior swimmers who are able to give advice on water safety to patrons, conduct swift water rescues and control unruly behavior if necessary.
