You will be working in the Culture Kitchen, an urban cafe & bar located inside the museum. Duties will include greeting customers, helping them with their selection, answering questions, ringing up their orders, operating the cash registers, and handling American currency and credit card transactions. You will wait on customers, pass food and drink to customers at the counter, answer questions about menu items, and provide the guest with outstanding service. You will be responsible for stocking supplies, keeping the area clean and sanitary, cleaning the restrooms, emptying the trash, and helping shut down the cafe at closing. May lift 20 lbs (9 kg), bending, reaching, lifting, and being able to stand for your entire shift. Participants must wear a name tag at all times while on the premises. You must enter and exit out of the security door located in the roundabout and next to the loading dock. Tips: cash tips are received at the end of each shift. If tips are received from credit card transactions, those are added to your paycheck. Must be dependable, hard-working, friendly, and a very trustworthy and honest individual. Positions require attention to detail, punctuality, and a great service attitude & team spirit. Flexible to help in other positions as requested. Additional tasks as requested by management. You will be working all weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), all holidays, and evening shifts. You may not work the same shifts as your friends. Nor will you have the same days off as your friends. No job, or hours at a job, can be 100% guaranteed. Regardless of what your work contract states, there is always a possibility that you will work more or fewer hours. Some days will be slower than others

TEAM MEMBER

Team members help customers find desired goods or services. They answer questions, make purchase recommendations and explain the benefits of the goods or services. Once they have helped customers make a satisfactory selection, they add up the total purchases and complete the transactions.
