Job duties are listed but not limited to; Set up the cooking station for service. Complete daily prep list created by the supervisor in a timely manner. Cook/prepare menu items to a high quality and according to set recipes and in coordination with the rest of line stations. Utilization of knives and other kitchen equipment. Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking. Basic cooking duties such as parboiling food. Label and stock all ingredients based on kitchen standards. maintain a clean and organized kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, etc. Other cleaning duties as assigned. Follow all kitchen sanitation standards. Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Line Cooks are in charge of prepping food and plating dishes according to a restaurant's menu specifications. Also known as a Prep Cook, they are assigned a specific place in the line, such as the grill or vegetable prep station. Duties include preparing food and maintaining sanitation standards. You will be responsible for setting up the prep station, stocking inventory, and maintaining sanitation standards.
